MOUNTAIN BLENDS COFFEE ROASTERS

Coffee Notes continued...

Aroma: The smell perception of the elements present in roasted coffee. When nearly boiling water is added to ground coffee some constituents change to gases and are recognized as aroma.  The odor of un-brewed ground coffee is called its fragrance.

Body: The heaviness of a coffee in your mouth perceived after swallowing.  Body is actually micro particles of insoluble coffee fiber suspended in water.  The amount and kind of insoluble varies from one coffee to another.  Also known as mouth feel.

Winey:Like wine, some of the more acidic coffees leave a dry aftertaste in your mouth.  This pungency can add to the complexity of the overall taste experience.

Our Decaffinated Coffees
All of our decaffeinated coffees are 100% Swiss Water processed.  This water soaking and carbon filtering process produces pure, chemically-free decaffeinated coffee.  The patented flavor charged water process retains much of the coffee’s taste while removing 99% of the caffeine.

What to Choose
All of “Blends” coffees are compatible for potted brew or espresso. What you choose depends on your own particular taste. Dark French Roasts will generally yield a sharper bolder taste and have less caffeine (caffeine burns off during the roasting process). While the lighter choices will give you a slightly smoother, lighter taste and have more caffeine.
